SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2017 Eligibility Criteria:
Aspiring candidates, who wish to appear for Sastra University B. Tech Admissions 2016, are required to have passed in the +2 examination with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry /Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology as optional subjects, recognized by any State Board/Central Board or any other equivalent examination, with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology obtained in a single sitting.
Applicants with diploma in Engineering/Technology can apply for direct admission to the second year of the relevant B. Tech. Programme.
The applicant should not have completed 19 years of age by July 2016. (21 years for Lateral Entry)
SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2017 Selection Procedure:
- Sastra University will select 70% of the aspiring applicants for Sastra University B. Tech Admissions 2016 on the basis of their performance in JEE Main 2016 and +2 examinations conducted by various boards across the country.
- Selection for the remaining 30% of seats, will be done on the basis of the normalized aggregate +2 marks.
SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2017 Paper Pattern:
As there is no separate entrance test, appearing candidates of SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2016 will have to follow and prepare themselves as per the exam pattern of JEE Main 2016.
Admission will be based on higher secondary score and JEE Main 2016 Result.
SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2017 Application Form:
The application forms for SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2017 are available from March 25, 2017 onwards and will close by June 11, 2017. Candidates can obtain the Applicantion Form in following modes-
In Person: Applicants can obtain the application form in person from the office of admissions at the university campus in Thanjavur or Kumbakonam or at registered office in Chennai. Candidates can also obtain the Application Form of SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2017 at select branches of Indian Overseas Bank and City Union Bank.
Download and send by Post: A link will be updated here for students to click and download the application form. Applicants can send the filled in application by post on receipt of DD favoring SASTRA University payable at Thanjavur.
Online: Candidates can fill in and submit the application form online.
Application Fee: Applicants need to pay Rs. 650 as application fee.

Counselling for SASTRA University B. Tech Admissions 2017 will be held from June 22, 2017 to June 25, 2017. The seat allotment to the candidates will be done based on their JEE Main 2017 ranks and class XII marks.
