Admission Procedure B.Tech, MCA and MBA (AKGIM) Programmes
UPSEE Counselling
Admissions to B.Tech. and MCA I year as well as B-Tech II year(Lateral Entry) are made through Combined State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) conducted by the UPTU, Lucknow.
The minimum qualification for B-Tech is intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The minimum qualification for MCA is graduation (10+2+3) in any discipline from any recognized institution with Mathematics as one subject at Intermediate level or at Bachelor degree level.
The minimum qualification for B-Tech II year(Lateral Entry) is three-year engineering diploma in any branch of engineering (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy and Architecture) with minimum 60% marks.

MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR APPLYING FOR DIRECT ADMISSION IN THE COLLEGE
B.Tech – I Year
- XII (PCM) ≥ 75 %
OR
- UPSEE rank within 10,000
OR
- JEE All India Rank within 25,000
B.Tech-II Year (Lateral Entry)
- B.Sc 60% and above (up to second year if final result is not declared).
- Diploma 70% and above (up to 5th semester if final result is not declared.
MCA – I Year
- Must satisfy UPTU criteria for admission.
- Must have obtained minimum aggregates of 55% marks in X, XII and Graduation Examination.
- UPSEE rank within 4,000.
MCA II Year (Lateral Entry)
- Must satisfy UPTU criteria for admission.
- Must have obtained minimum aggregates of 60 % marks in Graduation.
MBA I Year
- 60% Marks in Graduation.
Students who fulfill above mentioned minimum eligibility criteria may collect the Application forms free of cost from the college main gate. Duly completed forms alongwith enclosure as mentioned in the form be dropped in the drop Box kept at the main gate. Forms are also available to be downloaded from college website http://www.akgec.org. The selection for the few available seats will be based on merit in PCM/UPSEE/JEE and performance in the college test/interview.
Meeting minimum eligibility criteria and submission of form does not mean selection.

*** Students coming through UPSEE-2017 counselling are required to deduct the amount (Rs. 15000/-) deposited by them during the counselling.
All fee is to be paid by way of Draft / Pay Order only in favour of “Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College” payable at Ghaziabad / Delhi. No part or cash payment shall be accepted.
For SC / ST Scholarship / Freeship :
Students desirous of Govt. sponsored Scholarship / Freeship are to submit all documents listed at linkhttp://www.akgec.in/index.php/admissions/notice-for-scst-candidates-upsee-2016 at the time of Reporting (submission of fee and documents) to be eligible for tuition fee exemption.
In other words, the SC/ST candidates eligible for scholarship and freeship (gross annual income of parents less than Rs. 2 Lac from all sources) are required to deduct tuition fee amount (Rs.97100/-) and the amount paid at the time of UPSEE-2014 counselling (Rs.15000/-) from the ‘Total Fee***.’
