  The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), NCR is rated in the Top Ten all-India among private B-Schools and in the Top Twenty all-India, among all B-Schools. BIMTECH, a part of the B K Birla Group of Institutions has 27 years legacy in academics. It offers five different AICTE approved PG Diploma courses in Management i.e Post Graduate Diploma in Management (equivalent to MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Retail Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance Business Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Development Practices, and Doctoral and Fellowship study programmes under its Academic Centres.

  BIMTECH offers admissions to its two year full time PGDM program and other sectoral programs namely, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Retail Management) & PGDM (Insurance Business Management) and Two Doctoral Level Programmes – FPM (Fellow Programme in Management) & EFPM (Executive Fellow Programme in Management), PGDM at its Bhubaneswar campus for the 2017-19 batch.

  Selecting aspirants for admissions to its various programs every year, year after year has been oriented towards achieving a right mix in the class so as to enhance the total learning experience both within and outside the class. Admission efforts seek to achieve a ‘class- diversity’ which heightens peer group learning.

  Admission Categories

  (A) Merit Category

  90 percent seats in all courses will be filled through merit category (General, SC/ST/Minorities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians [Parsis] and Jains)/ Differently Abled). Regular Admission is granted to those applicants who have fulfilled all the admission requirements and whose names appear in the regular merit list of successful applicants.

  Eligibility for General Category:

  1. Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2017 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year result of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st Oct’17 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically cancelled.

  2.(a) For admission to PGDM & PGDM (IB), an applicant must have a valid CAT (Score card of CAT 2016) or valid XAT 2017 score or valid GMAT 2016-17 score.

  (b) For admission to PGDM (RM) & PGDM (IBM) an applicant must have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score.

  Eligibility for DA Category:

  1. Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2017 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year result of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st Oct’17 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically cancelled.

  2. (a) For admission to PGDM & PGDM (IB), an applicant must have a valid CAT (Score card of CAT 2016) or valid XAT 2017 score or valid GMAT 2016-17 score.

  (b) For admission to PGDM (RM) & PGDM (IBM) an applicant must have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score.

  3. Certificate of Physical Disability issued by CMO or Civil Surgeon of any Government Hospital authorized to issue such certificates in prescribed format for the purpose. To be produced at the time of GD & PI failing which the applicant will be considered under ‘General Category’ of Merit seats.

  (B) Other Categories

  10 percent seats will be filled through Corporate Sponsored / NRI / NRI sponsored / International Students category.

  Eligibility for Corporate Sponsored Category :

  1. Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2017 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year result of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st Oct’17 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically cancelled.

  2. For being eligible under Corporate Sponsored Category, the applicant will have to produce the following at the time of submission of first installment of tuition fee. (Tentatively in first week of April 2017)

  (a) A sponsorship letter from the Company is required as per format prescribed by the Institute.

  (b) The sponsoring company must have annual turnover of Rs. 50 crore minimum as reflected in the latest financial statements available. (Audited copy of the balance sheet/ Profit & Loss Account of preceding financial year i.e. 2015-16). Self attested photocopy to be submitted, failing which first installment of tuition fee will not be accepted.

  Eligibility for NRI Sponsored Category :

  1. Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2017 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year result of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st Oct’17 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically cancelled.

  2. Candidates will have to submit Sponsoring NRI’s sponsorship letter as per format prescribed by the Institute.

  3. Passport copy and visa or evidence of NRI status all duly attested by a qualified notary or Indian mission/ consulate or Indian Chamber of commerce in the country of residence or by consulate/mission/ embassy of the concerned country in India is require.

  4. Proof of income – minimum 50,000 USD per annum income of the sponsorer will also have to be produced.

  Eligibility for NRI Category :

  1. Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2017 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year result of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st Oct’17 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically cancelled.

  2. Passport copy and visa or evidence of NRI status all duly attested by a qualified notary or Indian mission/consulate or Indian Chamber of commerce in the country of residence or by consulate /mission / embassy of the concerned country in India is required.

  Eligibility for International Students Category :

  1.Minimum 50 percent marks in Graduation. Candidates appearing in Final Year Graduation Examination (1st attempt) in Summer 2017 can also apply. Such candidates will have to produce final year result of Graduation with min. 50% marks in aggregate on or before 31st Oct’17 failing which their provisional admission will be automatically cancelled.

  2. Valid GMAT score.

  3. International student should have Citizenship/Nationality of a country other than India.

However, management reserves the right to relax this particular norm on the merit of the case, if the candidate is from a start-up, entrepreneurial or social organization.

  ** For getting regional weightage, submission of valid proof of residence is must.

  # Management reserves the right to make minor changes to address diversity on gender and social parameters.
